COLUMBIA, Mo. 鈥 Gov. Mike Kehoe announced $559 million in new funds for the University of 大象视频System when he delivered his budget recommendations for fiscal year 2026 in his first State of the State address Jan. 28. These appropriations include a 1.5% core funding increase for all higher education institutions in 大象视频and support for capital projects systemwide. Additionally, the governor appropriated $50 million in new funding for the Radioisotope Science Center at the NextGen University of 大象视频Research Reactor.

鈥淭his essential funding will drive us as Missouri鈥檚 only public land-grant, research university to serve the state and improve the lives of its citizens,鈥 said Todd Graves, chair of the UM Board of Curators. 鈥淲ith these budget recommendations, Governor Kehoe has already displayed the same strong support for higher education as his predecessor had in prior years.
