Provides high-demand workforce training and advanced research in biomedical engineering and science.
UMKC
- School of Dentistry Satellite Program in St. Joseph
Addresses critical shortage of dentists and dental hygienists in rural Missouri.
UMSL
- Science Complex
Expands access to STEM and advanced technology training — in engineering, geospatial science, chemistry, biotechnology, and related fields — to build a skilled workforce and strengthen economic competitiveness.
UM System Highlights
- With more than 310,000 alumni that live in Missouri, our universities educate the majority of the state's physicians, veterinarians, pharmacists, optometrists, dentists, attorneys, engineers and scientists.
- Up to 95% of our graduates systemwide start a great career, continue their education or join the military.
- This year, we celebrated historic high graduation (up to 77%) and retention rates (over 90%) and our application numbers continue to increase.
- Our universities conduct the highest level of meaningful research in the state — over $714M in total expenditures.
- The UM System has a $6.5 billion impact on Missouri's economy.
- We make an impact in all 114 ´óÏóÊÓÆµcounties and the City of St. Louis through Extension & Engagement.
